  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.  Above 77°C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.  NO contact with oxidizing agents. NO open flames.  Above 77°C use a closed system and ventilation. Prevent build-up of electrostatic charges (e.g., by grounding).  Use water spray, powder, foam, carbon dioxide.  In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water. 

   
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Cough. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Vomiting. Weakness.  Use ventilation, local exhaust or breathing protection.  Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. 
Skin Redness. Pain.  Protective gloves.  Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Remove contaminated clothes. 
Eyes Pain. Redness. Blurred vision.  Wear safety spectacles.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention. 
Ingestion Abdominal pain. See Inhalation.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.  Do NOT induce vomiting. Give one or two glasses of water to drink. Refer for medical attention . 

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: chemical protection suit. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in covered containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system. If this liquid is swallowed, aspiration into the lungs may result in chemical pneumonitis. 

Inhalation risk
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20°C; on spraying or dispersing, however, much faster. 

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis. The substance may have effects on the kidneys.

ENVIRONMENT
The substance is toxic to aquatic organisms. Bioaccumulation of this chemical may occur in fish. It is strongly advised not to let the chemical enter into the environment.

Check for peroxides prior to distillation; eliminate if found.
