  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Not combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.        In case of fire in the surroundings, use appropriate extinguishing media.   

 AVOID ALL CONTACT!  
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Cough. Sore throat. Weakness. See Ingestion.  Use closed system, ventilation or breathing protection.  Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. 
Skin Redness. Burning sensation.  Protective gloves. Protective clothing.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. 
Eyes Redness. Pain.  Wear safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention. 
Ingestion Abdominal pain. Burning sensation. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Vomiting. Symptoms may be delayed.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.  Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention . 

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: particulate filter respirator adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Vacuum with specialist equipment (See Notes) or carefully sweep into containers. Carefully collect remainder. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

Decomposes on heating and on burning. This produces toxic fumes of arsenic and iron.

EXPOSURE & HEALTH EFFECTS

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol and by ingestion. 

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the gastrointestinal tract, liver, skin and nervous system. This may result in severe gastroenteritis, degenerative liver damage, dermatitis, kidney impairment and neuropathy. The effects may be delayed. Medical observation is indicated. 

Inhalation risk
A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly when dispersed, especially if powdered. 

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Repeated or prolonged contact with skin may cause dermatitis, grey skin and hyperkeratosis. The substance may have effects on the nervous system, liver, cardiovascular system and respiratory tract. This may result in neuropathy, degenerative liver damage and skin lesions. This substance is carcinogenic to humans.

ENVIRONMENT
This substance may be hazardous to the environment. Special attention should be given to plants, air quality and water quality. It is strongly advised not to let the chemical enter into the environment. 

NOTES
NEVER use a domestic-type vacuum cleaner to vacuum the substance, only use specialist equipment.
Do NOT take working clothes home.
Depending on the degree of exposure, periodic medical examination is suggested.
The symptoms of poisoning do not become manifest until 0.5 to several hours.
