  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.  Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air.  NO open flames.  Closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Prevent deposition of dust. Prevent build-up of electrostatic charges (e.g., by grounding).  Use water spray, powder, carbon dioxide.   

 AVOID ALL CONTACT! IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR! 
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Headache. Confusion.  Use local exhaust or breathing protection.  Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention. 
Skin Redness. Pain. Further see Inhalation.  Protective gloves.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention . 
Eyes Redness. Pain.  Wear face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention. 
Ingestion See Inhalation.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.  Rinse mouth. Give a slurry of activated charcoal in water to drink. Refer for medical attention . 

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: particulate filter respirator adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Sweep spilled substance into covered containers. If appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

Physical dangers
Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air. If dry, it can be charged electrostatically by swirling, pneumatic transport, pouring, etc. 

Chemical dangers
Decomposes on heating. This produces toxic fumes of tin and tin oxides. Reacts under certain circumstances with oxidants and bases.

The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion. 

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. The substance may cause effects on the nervous system. This may result in impaired functions. Exposure could cause death. 

Inhalation risk
A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly when dispersed.

The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. The substance may cause long-term effects in the aquatic environment. This substance does enter the environment under normal use. Great care, however, should be taken to avoid any additional release, for example through inappropriate disposal.

Molecular mass can vary because Dibutyltin oxide can occur in a partial polymerized form, on which its stability depends.
Insufficient data are available on the effect of this substance on human health, therefore utmost care must be taken.
