  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Highly flammable when finely divided.    NO open flames, NO sparks and NO smoking.    In case of fire in the surroundings, use appropriate extinguishing media. NO water.  In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water. 

 PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST!  
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Cough. Sore throat.  Use local exhaust.  Fresh air, rest. 
Skin Redness.  Protective gloves.  Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. 
Eyes Redness. Pain.  Wear safety spectacles.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention. 
Ingestion Nausea. Tremor.  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.  Seek medical attention if you feel unwell. 

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: particulate filter respirator adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Sweep spilled substance into covered containers. If appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

Dust explosion possible if in powder or granular form, mixed with air. 

Chemical dangers
Reacts violently with oxidants, potassium perchlorate and potassium dichromate. This generates fire and explosion hazard. Reacts violently with strong acids and halogens.

A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached quickly when dispersed. 

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Repeated or prolonged inhalation of dust particles may cause effects on the lungs.

NOTES
The auto-ignition temperature varies widely according to the size of the particle.
Tungsten in powder form can be pyrophoric under the right conditions.
