  ACUTE HAZARDS PREVENTION FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION Highly flammable.  Vapour/air mixtures are explosive.  NO open flames, NO sparks and NO smoking. NO contact with oxidizing agents.  Closed system, ventilation, explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting. Do NOT use compressed air for filling, discharging, or handling.  Use foam, powder, carbon dioxide.  In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.

 STRICT HYGIENE!
  SYMPTOMS PREVENTION FIRST AID
Inhalation Cough. Headache.  Use ventilation, local exhaust or breathing protection.  Fresh air.
Skin Redness.  Protective gloves. Protective clothing.  Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
Eyes Redness.  Wear safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.  First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then refer for medical attention.
Ingestion Aspiration hazard!  Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.  Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention .

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Consult an expert! Remove all ignition sources. Personal protection: filter respirator for organic gases and vapours adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Do NOT wash away into sewer. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Ventilation. Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in dry sand or inert absorbent. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations.

EXPOSURE & HEALTH EFFECTS

Routes of exposure
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour, through the skin and by ingestion.

Effects of short-term exposure
The substance is irritating to the skin. The substance is mildly irritating to the eyes. If swallowed the substance easily enters the airways and could result in aspiration pneumonitis.

Inhalation risk
A harmful contamination of the air can be reached very quickly on evaporation of this substance at 20°C.

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Animal tests show that this substance possibly causes toxic effects upon human reproduction. This substance is possibly carcinogenic to humans.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS
TLV: 0.1 ppm as TWA; A3 (confirmed animal carcinogen with unknown relevance to humans).
MAK: skin absorption (H); carcinogen category: 2

ENVIRONMENT
The substance is toxic to aquatic organisms. Bioaccumulation of this chemical may occur along the food chain, for example in fish.

NOTES
Do NOT take working clothes home.
An added stabilizer or inhibitor can influence the toxicological properties of this substance, consult an expert.
Check for peroxides prior to distillation; eliminate if found.
