5. Summary of Data Reported and Evaluation

5.1 Animal data

Fast green FCF has been tested in mice and rats by oral administration and in rats by subcutaneous injection. It was carcinogenic in rats, producing sarcomas at the site of repeated subcutaneous injections.

5.2 Human data

No case reports or epidemiological studies were available to the Working Group.
